Zhang Dali has photos up now at MOMA from archives illustrating propaganda in photography during Maos cultural revolution. I liked the idea a lot, especially as we now take for granted that any photograph we look in the media is most likely heavily manipulated for its purpose. The question is if this perception can actually make someone impervious to the intended message.
